Join images🔗

Joins two or more images to a single, possibly bigger image. The tool uses the xy plane of the first input image as a reference and projects other inputs images on it.

Note that this tool does not use any type of interpolation. If the input images are of very different scales or undergo 3D transformations, this may result in poor output image quality. In such a case it is advisable to preprocess the input images first for example by scaling them to the roughly same resolution.

Inputs🔗

  • imageX: A configurable number of input images.

  • imageCount: The number of input images.

  • compositing: The way overlapping and possibly partially transparent pixels are composited.

  • reverseOrder: Reverse the order of input images. This affects the order in which the images are stacked in compositing.

Outputs🔗

  • image: A combined image. Parts of the output image may not be covered by any of the input images. Undefined pixels are left black.

Image n+1 is composited over image n.

The part of image n+1 lying inside of image n replaces image n.

The part of image n+1 lying outside of image n replaces image n.

The part of image n+1 lying inside of image n is composited onto image n.

The part of image n+1 that lies outside of image n is combined with the part of image n that lies outside of image n+1.

So overlapping opaque parts become transparent.

Weighted average of input images.

The more opaque a pixel is, the bigger the weight. Transparent pixels have zero weight.
