The VisionAppster Engine provides a web-based management interface that is accessible through the built-in web server. By default, the server is bound to port 2015. If you have the Engine running locally, http://localhost:2015/ should take you to the front page.
The Builder provides the same management interface in its built-in web server. It uses a different address by default: http://localhost:2020/. It should be noted that a system-wide service installation and the Builder use a different component databases. Installing a component to one does not make it available in the other. If you want to install a component for development use in the Builder, use port 2020. Otherwise, use port 2015.
Installed apps can be started by clicking the “Start” button. The API objects published by started apps are listed on the “APIS” page. Clicking the API links will let you to inspect the structure of the API objects. The “Test” button opens a visual API tester.
Installed components can be managed on the “MANAGE” page. To upload
.vapkg files, drop them on the upload control or click to it to
select a file from your computer.
To install a package, mark it and click the “Install” button. To prevent accidental actions, you will be required to click the button again after a while.
Note: Uninstalling or upgrading components containing Python code may not have the desired effect because the Python interpreter cannot unload modules. After installation, you may need to restart the Engine.
